Having an eBay shop means that it is far easier to promote than just a single listing. Ebay give you a web site address which is exclusive to you.

But how do you go about promoting it?

Inside eBay

  • Create an ‘About Me’ page on eBay – this is free and you’ll be surprised how many people read that

  • Link to your eBay shop from EVERY listing that you have on eBay – a great way to get people to buy more than 1 item from you

  • Offer free postage on your listing if the customer buys an item from your eBay shop

  • Include a link to your eBay shop in all the automated end-of-auction emails you send out with Selling Manager after your customers have paid

Outside eBay

  • Have a link to your eBay shop within your standard email signature

  • Make sure a link is included in all your AUTORESPONDER emails

  • Include the link in your signature when you make posts on forums

  • Set up a ‘lens’ at www.squidoo.com

  • Write articles about your niche, about your shop. The best sites to submit to are Ezine Articles, Go Articles, Article City and Buzzle although there are literally thousands of others.

  • I also recommend HIGHLY getting an article submitter... I use ARTICLEMARKETER to distribute my articles to THOUSANDS of websites on the internet, thus creating a backlink TO my shop :)

  • Set up a blog to write about your niche – you can get free ones at www.wordpress.org
