Digital Media Masterclass:
eBay Sales Processes Explained...

Get
Your Sales Process Right
In
all businesses it is vital that you give your customer a good buying
experience. With a business on eBay this is even more important.
The
eBay Feedback system means that potential customers can compare how
you measure up against your competitors...
Do you deliver what you
promise on your sales page? How do you deal with complaints?
It’s
all there in multicolour for the whole world to see.
It
is absolutely vital for you to build up good feedback from your
buyers. Without this you have no business. If you are looking at MY
eBay feedback and seeing 97.1% positive – then O.K have a giggle about it :)
(I do).
The
reason, eBay changed the rules and moved there goalposts again,
making me APPEAR to be a OK seller and not the great one I am :)
Not
blowing my own trumpet – but my feedback WAS 99.8% POSITIVE until the change!
But
moving on, maintain common sense in your communications and you will
find it very easy to give good customer service. It’s your
customers who will build your business for you, treat them correctly
and they will leave good comments about you for other potential
customers to read. They will also come back and buy from you again.
The
‘rules’ of common sense in customer relations are very simple but
it is surprising how many businesses both online and offline, large
and small, seem to have no idea about them:
-
The
customer is always right – yes ALWAYS (even when he or she is
wrong!)
-
Always
be polite
-
Always
respond to enquiries and complaints
-
Always
do what you promise to do – if you cannot deliver a product when
you said you were going to, inform the customer via email
-
Always
make the customer the central part of your sales process, not your
product
This
will be covered in the training course but you should set up eBay
Selling Manager to automatically send your customer:
Do
this and you don’t have to worry about getting your feedback score
up :) (Just like I do!)
