Media Product Delivery Tips
Although
you can use so-called fulfillment houses to create and deliver your
products for you, it is far better to do this yourself...
The problem
with the fulfillment houses is that the quality of their work is out
of your control. They may not dispatch when you want them to, they
may not package your products correctly so you have breakages etc.
This
will lead to a higher chance of receiving negative feedback which
would be disastrous for your business.
Add to that the much higher
costs involved of paying someone else, and you can see why I strongly
recommend, at least in the beginning, you produce and ship your own
products.
Yes,
there is a little more work to do but you are in full control of the
process. There is nothing stopping you outsourcing later on, but for
now do the work yourself. It’s actually quite enjoyable.
This
is how the basic method I suggest you use to do it – all this is covered in detail inside
the training areas:
-
Create
a folder structure for your CD that has folders for your PRODUCT,
BONUSES, and any SPECIAL OFFERS
-
Put
the correct files inside each folder
-
Create
a MENU file as covered elsewhere on this site so that when your
customer plays his or her CD that is the first thing they see
-
Use
the SPECIAL OFFERS folder for any ‘upsells’ that you have
-
Create
your CD labels and DVD inserts to give a uniform ‘corporate image’
-
Create
a ‘flyer’ promoting a similar product and put that inside the
DVD case preferably with a time limited scarcity tactic to make
people buy or sign up - plus to aid this process, include a printed 'handwritten' note with your signature - thanking the customer again for their purchase and watch your bottom line bulge!
-
Always
use a padded envelope to minimize damages
-
Use
the “Create Postage Label” feature within Selling Manager to
print off an address and postage label in one
-
Always
go for the fastest shipment option, or at the very least offer your
customers the choice
