Checklist To Get Started

Before you begin this is a quick list of what you will need to launch your business. You may have many of these already:

To Create Physical Products Yourself (your CDs and DVDs)

  1. *Your OWN Graphic Designer* Or as an alternative, CD Label Design and Printing Software – I recommend Mediaface which you can download here for less than $15, or buy from any computer store

  2. Blank CDs and DVD cases – again these can be bought from many stores or eBay - just do a search for CDRW CD or DVD disks.

  3. CD labels and DVD case inserts – stocked by most computer stores or buy from eBay

  4. CD label applicator – for ensuring your CD label is correctly stuck to your CD.

  5. Lightscribe Drive & Discs (for different Unique Selling Point) If you can use Lightscribe, you can etch the design of your disc DIRECTLY on to the top of the disc for a really professional look, thus giving you more profit potential.

  6. DVD Clear Wraps - these wraps simply allow you to pop your CD or DVD inside and seal them, making your products box look like it just came from a shop or store (really professional looking too). Again just go a search on eBay for CD/DVD case wraps, there's no shortage of them.

  7. Promotional Flyer - for good advertising technique and to build your traffic, create a simple promotional flyer and pop it inside your CD or DVD case. Whenpeople open the box this is the first thing they'll see and may well click through to your site and join a list or buy an additional product from you! Well worth the effort, because like everything online - it is simply "set and forget" - do it once reaps the rewards over and over again!

I use Kunaki and couldn't recommend them highly enough.

They provide awesome customer service too and reply to emails very quickly.

There will be videos in the monthly videos section detailing everything you need to know about registering with Kunaki, setting up your account and more. Be sure to check out the video section and keep checking back as we add 5 videos per month.

To Create Your Online Presence

  1. A domain name and hosting for your web site (don’t worry if you don’t have this yet – this is covered in great detail later on) I recommend you use Hostgator as they are extremely reliable and have great live customer service. Check out Hostgator here.

  2. An email account particular to your web site (eg if your site is www.xyz-onlineinfo.com then your email should be something like admin@xyz-online-info.com to give you a professional look)

  3. Paypal account (so that you can get paid!)

  4. Adobe Acrobat Reader to read PDF files
